Graphic modules offer tremendous flexibility in formatting data;
they are the “next step up” from dot-matrix character modules and allow customers to form their own graphics and symbols, display waveform information and text in languages other than those supported on the standard character modules.

Our mono graphics modules run from 80x32 dots to 640x480 dots and most have an on-board controller. Winstar have a comprehensive choice of formats to fit your mechanical and optical requirements.

Most modules can be specified with the following display and
backlight options:
• Backlight type - EL, CCFL or LED
• Display mode - green/yellow, silver or blue
• Film or optically enhanced black/white modes
• Wide temperature versions

We’ve recently added a range of 320x240 (QVGA) modules, available with CFL, EL or LED backlight, and the option of integrated touch panels for ease of interface.

Our cabling service can add a cable and connector of your choice to ease assembly. Factory fitted touch screens can be supplied with most sizes of module.

Polar White
Plus opto have announced that they will be stocking a range of TAB and COG Polar White™ LCD’s from Emerging Display Technologies. With their break-
through polarizer technology, EDT’s new Polar White™ LCD’s let you stand
out from the crowd with superior contrast for easy viewing and operation,
improving overall end production aesthetics.

Measuring 3.8” diagonal and with a choice of LED or EL backlight, the 32F90 series of QVGA (320x240) displays from EDT are supplied with factory
integrated controllers and touch-screens if required.

Plus Opto will also be stocking the new EW24HAO display to further support next generation product designs.This 2.7? 240x160 TAB display features the
Ultrachip UC1611 controller that offers 16 levels of Grey Scale, DC/DC,
temperature compensation and serial or parallel connecton mode. This design is
the natural choice for hand held applications with high information content and
these modules can be provided with a choice of either EL or LED backlight.
