The mainstream aspect ratio of the TFT LCD panel in the market is 4:3 or 16:9.  But for some applications, a bar type shape or "letterbox" format of display panel would be more suitable for the application to display the required information.  Winstar Bar Type TFT-LCD displays are perfect for industrial equipment, automotive applications, server system, POS system, dynamic information displays and advertising displays.

Bar TFT

The wide aspect ratio “Letterbox” or “Bar” format brings TFT to a wider range of industrial applications. The 5.2” WF52 is mechanically compatible with the WG24064 graphic LCD range, with common mounting holes and many common pins for a quick upgrade. Other Bar TFT sizes are available and more are on the roadmap. The WF39A series is a 3.9” diagonal 480 x 128 pixel resolution TFT with just 40.64mm height, making it ideal for inclusion in 1U rack systems.
